BALTI DISHES
The Balti style of cooking originated in the Kashmir valleys. A special earthen-ware pot wasused to stir-fry & slow cook meat dishes with spices over long periods of time. Kashmiri Immigrants introduced the Balti style of cooking in the Midlands during the 1970's.Bhangra Beat pioneered this style of cooking in London in 1993.
